2018 IIDA Fashion Show Best Haute Couture Awarded to

OCIO designgroup & Arcadia Furniture 

​The yearly IIDA Haute Couture Fashion Show honors San Diego's interior design talent. Sixteen local firms crafted outfits solely from commercial design materials, showcasing them at PARQ nightclub's catwalk. The 2018 theme, "Peace, Love & Gaudi," blended hippie fashion with Antonio Gaudi's architectural influence

Ocio Design Group, using materials from Arcadia Furniture, took cues from iconic female musicians of the late 1960s like Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks, blending Gaudi-inspired elements. Our standout pieces include a Gaudi-turret helmet made from Arcadia samples, a dress and coat crafted entirely from upholstery materials, and macramé details using felt fabric. Plus, our show-stealing guitar originated as a table leg crafted at Arcadia's design facility.
